Indoor BlanketsUpdated 3 months ago

Cleaning instructions for your Sherpa Puffy, Sherpa Fleece, Flannel Sherpa, and Merino SoftWool™ Blankets.

Rumpl blankets are designed to shed dirt and odor, however, periodic washing is still needed for optimal performance. Dirt, sweat and oil can cause insulation to clump and create cold spots. You can get your blanket warm and fluffy by washing it after moderate use.

For the Sherpa Puffy, Sherpa Fleece and Flannel Sherpa Blankets, please machine wash cold using a non detergent soap like Grangers Clothing Wash+ Repel. Detergents can damage the DWR treatment that helps keep your Sherpa Blanket resistant to water, dirt, pet-hair, and odors. Hang dry or tumble dry on the lowest, gentlest cycle possible. High heats can damage or melt your blanket!

Do not dry clean Sherpa Puffy, Sherpa Fleece and Flannel Sherpa blankets. Wash it at home or at a laundromat in a front loading washer, if your machine has an agitator in it - WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING IT, as it may shred your blanket, and that is why we don’t recommend using one for your Rumpl.

Our Merino SoftWool™ Blanket has the natural qualities of wool which fights against odor causing bacteria. Most of the time a line hanging outside is enough to freshen it up. That said, if you find your SoftWool™ Blanket needs washing we recommend dry clean only to clean properly and avoid shrinkage. If you choose to wash your blanket on your own, it will not be covered by warranty as it is not in line with our recommended care instructions.
