However, periodic washing is still needed for optimal performance. Dirt, sweat, and oil can cause insulation to clump and create cold spots. You can keep your blanket warm and fluffy by washing it after moderate use.&#xA0; <ul><li dir="ltr" style="text-decoration: none; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Wash Instructions: Machine wash using a front-loading washing machine on cold with a non-detergent soap. Regular detergents can wear down the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish which is what helps repel water, dirt, pet hair, and odors. We recommend Granger&#x2019;s Performance Wash to all Rumpl owners but Sport-Wash&#x2122; or Nikwax Tech Wash&#x2122; work as well! </li><li dir="ltr" style="text-decoration: none; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Drying:&#xA0;After you wash your Rumpl blanket, you should properly dry the product to help maintain the insulation properties and prevent mildew when storing long-term. To dry your blanket, hang it to dry away from direct sunlight, or toss it in the dryer on the gentlest cycle with the heat turned low. Store outside of its stuff sack in a cool, dry place to preserve loft. </li><li dir="ltr" style="text-decoration: none; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Note: Do not dry clean your blanket, and kindly avoid top-load washers with an agitator, as they may shred your blanket.
